Our Procedure Centre

Part of the Virtus Specialist Day Hospital network, the Melbourne IVF Procedure Centre is managed by a team of highly experienced nurses, administrative, and support staff.

We are a fully accredited facility (Class 9A; ISO 9001 & AQHCS Standards) focused on patient safety and the continuous improvement of patient care. Our patient outcomes for the prevention of infections, patient falls, and hand hygiene compliance are consistently above the national averages. 

As a day procedure centre, all patients admitted for a procedure are discharged home the same day, which typically involves a stay of 2 hours. With fewer surgeries being performed each day compared to large hospitals, patients enjoy the benefit of more intimate care and competitive procedure rates. As a short stay facility, early mobilisation and experienced nurse-led follow up also means patients can comfortably recover in their own home.
