Dr Yousif Alyousif is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). His special interests include male fertility, andrology, reproductive endocrinology and minimally invasive surgery.
Yousif completed his medical degree at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he also undertook research in Reproductive Endocrinology. This sparked his interest in fertility and lead him to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology at the University of Otago, and a Masters of Reproductive Medicine with Excellence from the University of New South Wales.
Yousif is CREI trained, (Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility), the highest training level for Fertility in Australasia.
Known for his genuine approach and compassionate care, patients describe Yousif as a doctor who truly listens and makes them feel at ease.
Yousif enjoys teaching medical students and was even voted the best clinical teacher multiple times. He has presented his research at several regional and international conferences. In 2019, Yousif was awarded the Harvey Carey Memorial Prize for the best original research paper presented orally at the RANZCOG ASM in New Zealand.
Outside of work, Yousif enjoys exploring what Melbourne has to offer with his wife and two children. He is always on the lookout for a good coffee recommendation!
