His aim is to assist women and couples to become pregnant and support them throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
Graduating from Monash University in 1998, Joseph then completed three years of physician training at The Alfred Hospital; focussing on endocrinology, diabetic management and cardiology. Joseph has a breadth of experience in obstetrics, general gynaecology and infertility performing laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
Joseph shows great commitment to improving patient outcomes both clinically and by influencing government policy. Joseph has served as Director of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and Chair of the Federal AMA Council for Specialists in Training and is a medical representative on multiple Government Committees. Recently appointed to The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Federal Council, Joseph influences women’s health policy through his role on the RANZCOG Women’s Health Policy Committee.
Joseph continues to mentor future generations of doctors in his role as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Royal Women's Hospital and the University of Melbourne.
Continually updating his knowledge with evidence based research, Joseph is committed to improving his patient's outcomes. Compassionate and caring, he is part of a team of nurses, counsellors, scientists and embryologists, striving to support his patients emotionally and medically.
