One of the biggest considerations for patients prior to commencing treatment is the associated costs. At Melbourne IVF, we pride ourselves on delivering world-class fertility treatment provided by highly qualified Fertility Specialists of international standing, whilst remaining one of the most affordable clinics in Victoria. Many of our doctors are pioneers of IVF in this country, and over many years have worked closely with the Federal Government to improve access and affordability of treatment to the Australian community.
Melbourne IVF has introduced a new 50:50 payment plan to provide greater access to treatment. This includes a part payment plan of two instalments to help make treatment more financially manageable. Review more information on our payment plans or talk to us about how you can access this plan for your treatment.
Understanding the costs associated with your treatment
To help make your treatment as simple and straightforward as possible, we will organise for you to have a one-on-one appointment with a Patient Liaison Administrator, who will explain in detail our current costs of treatment, Melbourne IVF’s payment plan options, and the Medicare Safety Net and estimated rebates.
Your appointment with a patient liaison administrator will be organised as part of your new patient appointments, however the team are available at any time before or throughout your treatment to discuss any questions that may arise. They are available between 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday and Sunday 7.30am to 3.30pm, and we encourage you to contact them on 03 9473 4444.
Medicare Support for fertility treatment
Thanks to the support of the Federal Government and the Australian community, the majority of fertility treatment costs are covered by Medicare, and the Extended Medicare Safety Net provides an additional capped rebate for IVF related treatment once an annual threshold has been reached. If you have private health insurance your costs may be further reduced.
