Patient Liaison Administration

The primary role of the Patient Liaison Administration (PLA) team is to deliver face to face and telephone based administration assistance to patients considering or undergoing treatment. The Patient Liaison Administrators play an important role in preparing patients for treatment by scheduling their new patient appointments with the counselling, nursing and Patient Liaison administrator teams. The Patient Liaison Administrator teams also provide accurate and current information on fees and are able to answer a range of general patient enquiries.

The PLA team provides the link between patients, doctors, administration, accounts and nursing departments. The goal of this team is to make each treatment as simple and as straightforward as possible.

Melanie Nolan
Patient Liaison Team Leader

Melanie Nolan has worked within the health industry for the last eight years in various roles and has recently joined Melbourne IVF as the Patient Liaison Team Leader.

Her most recent position was working at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth in the Oncology Division. Her role involved working closely with patients and managing staff on a daily basis.

Prior to this Melanie worked for Medibank Private in the Melbourne head office working with hospital providers and negotiating contracts between Medibank Private and the various hospitals. Melanie then transferred to the Perth head office where she worked closely with international students as the State Manager of the Non-Resident Business Unit.

Melanie thoroughly enjoys her role as the Patient Liaison Team Leader and enjoys interacting with patients and staff.
