The Melbourne IVF Difference

Melbourne IVF Difference

Melbourne IVF: Patient motivated care and treatment
Melbourne IVF is dedicated to providing superior patient care and treatment to improve patient outcomes.  To ensure we deliver this level of service, policies and procedures have been applied to all Melbourne IVF clinics so that we cannot be surpassed when it comes to:
Superior specialist care

Melbourne IVF fertility specialists oversee, direct and care for their own patient’s medical treatment during procedures, wherever possible.

The patient’s own doctor will almost always perform all of their procedures including the monitoring ultrasound scans, egg collection and embryo transfer procedures, to provide the highest level of personalised treatment available.

Melbourne IVF’s team of fertility specialists work collaboratively to provide 7 day per week care for patients to give continuous treatment for patients when needed.

Nursing teams

Melbourne IVF’s unique nursing structure allocates a small team of nurses to care for each individual patient, providing continuity of care.  These nurses are available seven days per week and begin their morning clinic before office hours at 7.30am for the convenience of patients.

Minimally invasive treatment approach

Melbourne IVF has consistently maintained a model of care, which aims to minimise the potential risks, complications and expense associated with repeated stimulated egg collection cycles.

This model aims to provide multiple attempts at a pregnancy from the one stimulated IVF treatment cycle through creating the opportunity for additional embryos to be stored (frozen) for future use.  At Melbourne IVF, just over 40% of all successful pregnancies come from embryos obtained from frozen/thaw cycles.

World Class PGD Program

Melbourne IVF provides a world-class genetic testing Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) program, developed by a leader in the field, Dr Leeanda Wilton.  Dr Wilton is a pioneering scientist part of the team responsible for developing the first single cell FISH technology in London in the late 1980s, and established the first PGD Program in Australia in 1997.
